GUADALUPE ASTORGA Astorga has a PhD in Neuroscience. Her research at the laboratory of Neurobiology, at The Rockefeller University explores the role of Top-down cognitive influences on neurons’ function and on perceptual learning in the brain cortex. This work was published in the scientific journal PNAS. In addition to the work published by Charles Gilbert, MD, the director of the laboratory, exploring the brain mechanisms of top-down and perceptual learning in more than 50 scientific articles, her work sets the basis for developing learning tools for neurodiverse children. She is the author of more than 10 scientific publications in prestigious journals studying the cellular and circuit properties of neurons BETH GRACZYK Graczyk is a choreographer, scientist, and educator focused on inclusion. She has done a broad range of residencies, commissions, and collaborations including The Interact Theater, a radical inclusion theater group working with disability. Throughout her career she has performed in the United States, Japan, Ecuador, France, China and India. She is also the author of 10 scientific publications and a Research Specialist at Rockefeller University. She has worked in science for 20 years with a foundation in basic science research and biochemistry, and has shifted the last 6 years to applying that knowledge to clinical research and human studies. |
